As a modern university in one of the liveliest cities in England, there are many things for students to enjoy, one of which is sport. Newcastle is a sporting city, in which fans follow the fortunes of both Newcastle United and the Newcastle Falcons in particular. It seems only appropriate therefore that Northumbria University is a centre for sporting excellence and through Team Northumbria, the University competes in both local and national leagues plus the BUSA championship and has been placed in the top 10% of all competing universities over the past 5 years. Team Northumbria is active in all sports.
