NATIONAL JUNIOR INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Tuesday 16th March, indoor rowers from the North East travelled to London to take part in the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships (NJIRC).

DURHAM HOSTS ROWING EVENT ON TUESDAY 2ND MARCH

Keen young rowers were put through their paces at the inaugural ‘Get Going, Get Rowing’ North East Regional Schools Indoor Rowing Final, held at Maiden Castle, Durham University on 2nd March, 2010.

On Thursday 11th March, Coach Lane once again played host to SUNEE Street League’s match day, with another great turn out for the North East chapter.

On Thursday 4th March, the Newcastle sport development team successfully organised a SUNEE Street League regional multi-sport event at Coach Lane .

FOOTBALL FOR HOPE AT DOWNING STREET - 9TH MARCH

Prime Minister Gordon Brown welcomed three UK-based organisations who are taking part in the Football for Hope Festival 2010 l in July to 10 Downing Street. Representatives from DADs Against Drugs (DADs), Kick4Life and Street League gathered in the gardens of London’s most famous address for a chat with Mr. Brown and Alan Johnson, the Home Secretary.

Every Monday and Friday men and women, with varying levels of fitness, pile into University of Sunderland’s Cityspace for the latest sessions of multi sport activity (Monday) and football (Friday).

On March 1st 2010, University of Sunderland’s Cityspace hosted the SUNEE U-15 Regional Volleyball Championships for both boys and girls.
