Our key target projects involve:

Working With Community Groups

SUNEE aims to provide regular sport and physical activity opportunities to a variety of different community groups throughout the region. These will include individuals and/or organisations involved with drug and alcohol agencies, homeless hostels, refugee services, vulnerable women’s groups, youth offending teams, probation, mental health and schools.

Increasing Volunteering Opportunities

SUNEE will provide a variety of volunteering opportunities for university students and staff. These will take a variety of forms and could include such things as coaching, officiating, administration, co-ordination of programmes and mentoring. Opportunities will also be available for the community groups with which we engage.

Developing a Coaching Programme

SUNEE will look to secure external funding to enable volunteers to undertake suitable qualifications to enhance their volunteering experience. Opportunities to undertake course will be available via a variety of partner organisations throughout the region.

Developing Athletes With High Performance Potential

SUNEE aims to develop regional and national residential sports training camps for gifted and talented youngsters.
